Disney Channel is showing its’ diversity with the first introduction of a same sex couple in the family series, ‘Good Luck Charlie’! Check out a clip of the show after the jump!
The Disney network has embarked on a mission to show the evolution and diversity of the “common” family, with their latest show ‘Good Luck Charlie’ introducing the network’s first lesbian couple!
Although the show has received a wide show of support from many including, Disney’s own Miley Cyrus, with love must come hate and right-wing group One Million Moms have voiced out their share, stating;
“Conservative families need to urge Disney to avoid controversial topics that children are far too young to comprehend,” organizers wrote at the time, according to Lez Get Real. “This is the last place a parent would expect their children to be confronted with topics that are too difficult for them to understand. Mature issues of this nature are being introduced too early and too soon, and it is extremely unnecessary.”
