New Jersey’s Rutgers University’s Department of Women’s and Gender Studies is offering a class on Beyonce! The course which is entitled ‘Feminist Perspectives: Politicizing Beyoncé,’ will be taught this Spring by Kevin Allred.
Allred told the Rutgers newspaper:
“This isn’t a course about Beyoncé’s political engagement or how many times she performed during President Obama’s inauguration weekend. Rather, the performer’s music and career are used as lenses to explore American race, gender and sexual politics.”
Regardless of what he makes of this course, Ladies, I bet this is a class you will stay awake for!
