After already confirming earlier this week that they will be joined on stage by Madonna, now the New York times is reporting another aspect to the Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ upcoming Grammy performance.
During the Seattle duo’s Grammy performance of their hit song “Same Love”, which also nominated for Song of the Year tonight, 34 couples of different ages, races, and sexual orientation will be married during their performance.
Ryan Lewis had this to say to the NY Times.
“[the performance] ‘will be in our minds the ultimate statement of equality, that all the couples are entitled to the same exact thing.’”
