We all knew this Lakers season wouldn’t be a good one as they planned to enter rebuilding mode. Not only that but injuries hit them hard especially losing their star player Kobe Bryant. It’s been a lot for coach Mike D’Antoni to deal with and apparently it’s driving him to a pretty bad solution.
I’m guessing that blowout 123-87 loss last night to their inner-city rivals the Clippers didn’t help things. The 36-point loss is tied for 10th worst in franchise history. The Lakers are currently 14-23 with the 13th spot in the Western Conference. The chances of them making the playoffs are probably null especially considering the competition in the West. They just have to hope they’re able to rebuild for next season.
