A Colorado principal was fired after refusing to follow a policy embarrassing students by stamping those without funds for lunch, hit the jump for more.
The former principal of Peak to Peak’s Elementary School, Noelle Roni was terminated last November, after she demanded that “cafeteria workers stop stamping workers stop stamping the hands of children who did not have enough money in their account to pay for lunch, according to CBS Denver.”
Roni was shunned by her higher ups after refusing to follow the policy made by the charter school, yet she could not comply after seeing students skip out on lunch all together to avoid the embarrassment.
“The kids are humiliated. They’re branded. It’s disrespectful. Where’s the human compassion? And these are little children,” Roni said to CBS Denver.
Parents and supporters have banned together and are taking their thoughts on the unjust firing of the principal to the school;s board of education.
