The Brooklyn Nets have been struggling with injuries since the preseason and with their playoff hopes as well as head coach Jason Kidd’s job on the line, they need everyone back in the lineup.

A healthy Andrei Kirilenko will provide Brooklyn with a big lift, but it’s been a while since the veteran forward has been healthy. So far, he’s played in only four games with the Nets as he deals with back troubles, and the last one came way back on Nov. 8.
Recently it’s looked like Kirilenko could be nearing a return, but on Friday we learned that’s still at least a little ways off.
Nets coach Jason Kidd told reporters that AK47 likely won’t make the road trip, which would rule him out for not only Friday but also the next three road games. That would make next Saturday’s game against Cleveland on Jan. 4 the soonest Kirilenko could return.
