I’ve yet to meet anyone who’s a fan of the NBA’s new sleeved jerseys but it’s mostly because of the aesthetic aspect. While we may find them ugly, Lebron says his shooters are worried about how they’ll affect their performance.
Every team that’s playing on Christmas will don the new sleeved jerseys which look like soccer unis if you ask me. While some teams have embraced them (or pretended to), Lebron is worried.
via Joe Goodman of the Miami Herald:
LeBron said in pregame that the Heat’s shooters “are already upset about” the Christmas jerseys.
LEBRON: “I can’t have my shooters out there worrying about some sleeves and not shooting the ball.”
Adidas claims they are custom fitted for the players and they’ve provided jerseys for them to practice in. Now I doubt it’ll have any significance when the Heat face the Kobe and point guardless Lakers but if the players are uncomfortable the jerseys should be shelved…
