Via ESPN:
New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Thursday, an injury that likely will end his season.
Cruz had the debridement performed by Dr. James Andrews in Pensacola, Fla. The procedure involved the removal of cartilage and is not considered to be a major operation.
The Giants have not officially placed Cruz on injured reserve, but his season is all but finished with just two games remaining against Detroit and Washington. Cruz also was cleared Wednesday of his concussion that he suffered Sunday against the Seahawks, according to the Giants.
