There is not much loyalty in sports. Players and coaches can change teams at the drop of a hat if the price is right. It also seems there is no loyalty among employees of these teams as well. A Lakers security guard was charged with a felony and is facing some serious jail time for trying to steal from his own team. Hit the jump.

Eddie J. Monterroso, a security guard for the Lakers at the Staples Center, was charged with grand theft and burglary. Two Lakers championship rings were stolen from the teams facility last week and after a police investigation, the rings were found at the home of Monterroso. No word yet on who the rings actually belonged to, but the value of each ring was about $20,000! Probably would of equaled what the security guard made in an entire year. Now he has no job and has a future meeting with a prison cell. Was it worth it?
