Kickers often face difficulty whether it’s an extremely windy day or raining, snowing etc. but I don’t think a kicker has ever nailed a field goal during an earthquake. That’s exactly what Oklahoma State’s kicker Ben Grogan did against Oklahoma.
via Huffington Post:
The in-state rivals were renewing their “Bedlam” rivalry at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater on Saturday afternoon when an earthquake centered near Oklahoma City occurred.
With the ground reportedly shaking underneath him and the fans roaring around him, Grogan’s 41-yard attempt sailed through the uprights to give the Cowboys an early 10-7 lead.
According to the Weather Channel it was a 4.5 earthquake centered just NE of OKC.
