The Brooklyn Nets fell to 5-14 after the 4-13 New York Knicks pummeled them on Thursday night. The Nets have been hurt by a rash of injuries and soon they may get their starting point guard back in the lineup. According to ESPNNewYork.com, a team official confirmed that Deron Williams is expected to play Tuesday when the Nets take on the Boston Celtics.
That is great news for the Nets as they are 2-8 without him due to lingering issues with his sprained left ankle. The Nets can bounce back and get back in the playoff chase since the Eastern Conference is so bad and the leader has to be Williams.
Until Williams returns, head coach Jason Kidd will go with Tyshawn Taylor as the starting point guard and Shaun Livingston as the backup. Tayler will go back to the third point guard position when Williams is ready to play.
