Search engine Bing announced that its data shows that Tim Tebow was the most-searched athlete in the United States in 2013. He also was atop the list of athletes searched on Yahoo!
The former NFL quarterback was followed by skier Lindsey Vonn and her boyfriend Tiger Woods. The first major surprise came at No. 4 with Louisville basketball player Kevin Ware, who suffered a gruesome injury in the NCAA tournament when a piece of his bone popped through the skin in his right leg. Rounding out the top five was Ray Lewis, who retired after 17 years following a Super Bowl win for his Baltimore Ravens and is now an ESPN NFL analyst.
Two NBA players, LeBron James (No. 6) and Dwight Howard (No. 8), made the top 10. Back on the most-searched lists for yet another year are Danica Patrick (No. 7), Derek Jeter (No. 9) and Maria Sharapova (No. 10).
