Many, including myself, do not want to believe that the Fast and Furious heart throb Paul Walker has tragically passed and although the story continues to develop, click the jump for more information on the Reach Out World Wide charity foundation started by the actor and the last event he is remembered to attend
Paul Walker had been attending the Reach Out World Wide’s toy drive titled, “Winter Drive” for disadvantaged children before the car accident occurred involving himself and another driver around 3:30 p.m.
The Reach Out World Wide organization has helped aid in natural disasters and relief efforts around the world including: Illinois tornadoes, Typhoon Haiyan, Oklahoma City Tornado, Philippines Typhoon, Alabama Tornado, Indonesia Tsunami, Chile Earthquake, Haiti Earthquake. Paul Walker established the organization after being apart of the Haiti 2010 Earthquake relief team and realizing the post help those in natural disasters need. This encouraged him to create the charitable organization that’s efforts relies on:
“…a network of committed professionals with first responder skill-set (including project management, logistics, heavy equipment operation, EMT, paramedic, firefighting, and healthcare, etc). The volunteers provide their expertise when disasters strike and augment local resources with the goal of accelerating relief efforts on a worldwide basis. ROWW has developed Standard Operating Procedures that facilitate arriving quickly, clearing access, providing basic necessities and medical assistance to ease the survivors’ pain and bringing hope in the bleakest of circumstances”
