After 23 year old, Tennesse West High School teacher, Gabriela Penalba turned her back to her class Monday morning in Knoxville, she received the ultimate shock when she realized that she had been set on fire!
“… a 15-year-old male student set her hair and shirt ablaze using his lighter, police said. Students quickly put the fire out. Gawker notes that the student allegedly “exploited the commotion” by throwing the lighter out the window and fleeing before being captured by police,” reports HP
The crime is currently being investigated and police are not releasing the suspect/student’s name due to him being a minor “and he has not been charged as an adult.” The victim and teacher put out the fire very quickly with the help of the remaining students.
