Things got testy and escalated quickly on Saturday night between the Golden State Warriors and the Portland Trailblazers. Somehow it always starts when two guys caught tangled up but this time the other players on the floor and the bench got involved.
The tussle started when Andrew Bogut and Joel Freeland got tied up in the paint, and things went to another level once Bogut threw a forearm shiver at Freeland to break loose. Mo Williams then went after Bogut, Jermaine O’Neal got off the bench and got involved, and things just got out of control.
Of course the refs were on hand to dole out plenty of punishment. Wes Matthews, Mo Williams and Draymond Green were all ejected. Joel Freeland, Andrew Bogut and LaMarcus Aldridge were all issued technical fouls. It’s odd that Bogut was allowed to remain in the game but the Trailblazers were avenged.
The Trailblazers defeated the Warriors 113-101 extending their win streak to 10 games. LaMarcus Aldridge also had the stat line of the night with 30 points, 21 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.
