Diddy, Jay Z and Dr. Dre have all landed spots in this year’s “World’s Highest Paid Musicians” list according to Forbes, hit the jump for more!
The Hip Hop heavy weights have officially been crowned and its looking like Diddy, Hov and Dr. Dre have come on top of the Forbe’s ‘Highest Paid Musicians’ list:
“Diddy ranks #12 on the list with earnings of $50 million, according to forbes.com. Sean Combs pulls in much of his money through his Ciroc vodka. Jay Z lands at #19 with earnings of $42 million and Dr. Dre earned the #21 slot with $40 million, the story says,” reports HipHopDX
Lady Gaga came second to Madonna on the list, earning 80 million, and thats only because her hip injury took her off tour had she completed it, the pop star would’ve earned 160 million for the year. The Pop Queen and veteran Madonna brought in a whopping 305 million, as she took on her MDNA tour, which brought in most of her revenue.
And if you haven’t taken the hint, artists, the money is in touring:
“With touring being the biggest revenue stream, if there’s an opportunity for an artist to go out, if there’s an opportunity for a promoter to curate a festival, people are doing it, said Kevin Liles, founder of KWL Enterprises and manager of artists including Big Sean, Trey Songz and Young Jeezy.
