Golden State Warriors guard/forward Andre Iguodala left during Friday night’s loss to the Lakers after he suffered a hamstring injury. Iguodala said he “felt a pop” and couldn’t even walk. That of course worried everyone and indicated that something serious occurred. Iguodala underwent an MRI on Saturday.
According to USA Today’s Sam Amick, Iguodala will not require surgery but there is no timeline for his return. The Warriors say the MRI revealed a strained left hamstring and he is out indefinitely.
Stephen Curry sat out the game due to a concussion and backup point guard Toney Douglas is out several weeks with a stress reaction in his leg.
Iguodala was averaging 12.9 ppg, 6.3 apg and 4.2 rpg while shooting 55% from the field. Iguodala also helped improve the Warriors defense, boosting them to top 5 in the league.
