You may be surprised at times at the loyalty that can develop between fans and an athlete. JR Smith recently got a letter in the mail and inside was a note and $60 cash. A young fan had made a bet with his friend of $120 that he could outscore the Miami Heat in NBA2K14 while playing with JR Smith. Well the Knicks fan won the bet and decided he should split the profit with his favorite player. JR posted the pic to his Instagram account as well. I hope JR sends the fan something back.
