A very strange situation occurred at City Hall in Jersey City, NJ yesterday. An envelope containing a white powder substance and a picture of Tim Tebow forced the entire building to be evacuated and some employees put into quarantine. Luckily it was a false alarm but it caused quite a scare. Hit the jump for the details.

News outlet reports that a little after 2 p.m., the City Hall building was evacuated after receiving a strange letter filled with religious literature, an unidentified white powder and a photograph of Tim Tebow. The letter was addressed to Steven Fulop, the mayor of Jersey City, as well as his “family and friends.” Its strange contents were discovered by a mayoral aide, who was more than a little concerned when white powder tumbled out of the opened letter. There was also a letter inside containing spiritual messages as well as things related with “Heaven”. The exact contents of the envelope were never made public as of yet. Police are still currently trying to figure out where this came from and what was the purpose. The return address was fake. Leave it to something Tim Tebow related to stay in the middle of a controversy.
