After a 19 year old stole his father’s car out of spite, his father decided to teach his son a lesson by calling the police. Tragically the lesson turned into a fatality, hit the jump for more!
Tyler Comstock a 19 year old from Iowa, became enraged when his father James Comstock, allegedly would not buy him a carton of cigarettes, angered, he took his father’s truck and set off a high speed chase led by, his father’s stolen car report.
The father called the police in order to try and teach his son a lesson, yet he did not expect for it to end in his son’s death. During the hectic car chase, Comstock bashed into the cars of the officers, made dangerous turns on busy streets, but his death came when officer Adam McPherson shot the teen in efforts to stop him.
Story County Attorney Stephen Holmes, stated the “officer’s actions were justified, in his report states, “In watching the videos I can’t help but express my concern that it was only by sheer luck that no one else was seriously injured or killed by Mr. Comstock.”
“Comstock’s actions did not allow any amount of time for the officers to devise or employ other ‘means’ to mitigate or defuse the situation ahead of the shooting…”
