IFWT-Danny-Granger

The Indiana Pacers are off to a franchise record 7-0 start.  They have one of the most complete teams in the league and are doing well despite not having one of their stars on the court.  Before the subsequent emergence of Paul George as a star, the Pacers were led by Danny Granger, however knee injuries have kept him sidelined . Granger was expected to be back on the court this season and add to the already stacked squad but he’s reportedly suffered another setback.

The Indiana Pacers are the NBA’s lone undefeated team and Paul George is quickly entering into the conversation of best players not named LeBron. But all is not perfect in America’s heartland. According to a source, Danny Granger is experiencing soreness in his surgically repaired left knee after missing most of last season. The veteran forward is currently sidelined with a left calf injury that could keep him out another two weeks. The greater concern is his long-term health of his knee and whether Granger will regain his form.

With the Pacers playing so well and George becoming the leader, it’s become obvious that Granger isn’t a necessity on the team.  His name has come up often surrounding trade scenarios so I wouldn’t be surprised if he was moved.  His value however is declining as he continues to suffer setbacks and teams still haven’t seen how productive he can be back on the court.
