A man was arrested Monday night after he used a stun gun on his wife three times at a local bar following the Bears’ win over the Packers, according to a published report.
The wife reportedly called police at 12:39 a.m. after John Grant of Tinley Park, Ill., used a stun gun twice on her butt and once on her thigh while the two smoked a cigarette outside of the bar in Mayville, Wis.
Grant, a Bears fan, told police he and his wife, a Packers fan, had made a bet on the Monday Night Football matchup between the NFC North rivals – if the Packers lost, he would get to use a stun gun on her.
A report indicates police reviewed the woman’s text messages and cellphone video and determined the bet was true and the wife did consent.
Grant was still arrested and charged with use of an electric weapon. If convicted, he faces up to $10,000 in fines and six years in prison.
