Oprah alongside her partner in crime Gayle King were of course front row as the entrepreneur got ready to clean out her closet, literally, during the auction of her possessions. She became a little surprised at just how much some would pay for a small piece of Oprah’s goods, hit the jump for more!
Oprah held an auction for some of her belongings in Santa Barbara in efforts to raise money for her Leadership Academy in South Africa. The first piece up for sale was a poster from “The Color Purple” that started off at a bid of $2,000 but the heat quickly turned up! When the prize reached $4,000, Oprah had no choice but to react and to put it simple to the purchasers, ” Are you crazy?”
