Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant raised some eyebrows and started a heavy debate surrounding his comments about Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson. Now he’s saying his comments were taken the wrong way.
Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant said anyone who thinks he said anything negative about Calvin Johnson last week is wrong.
Bryant said that when he said “I can do whatever he can do” about Megatron, he was simply expressing his own confidence as an athlete, not suggesting that Johnson is anything short of a great player.
“I think a lot of people took it the wrong way,” Bryant said. “Clearly, I said there was no comparison.”
Well the two faced off today as the Detroit Lions hosted the Dallas Cowboys. Johnson finished with a whopping 14 REC for 329 yards and 1 TD including an incredible drive by quarterback Matthew Stafford to win the game 31-30. Bryant finished with 3 REC for 72 yards and 2 touchdowns in the loss.
