15 year old Davion Only, who has been in foster care for all his life, may finally get a home this Christmas. His touching story has gained popularity, after Only was invited to “The View” show in NYC to share his story. Davion made a public plea at a St. Petersburg church, to be adopted and loved. The 15 year old was born in a prison, and knew little about his mother, a drug addict and convicted criminal. Ever since birth, life has been a constant shuffle from group home to group home for him. Caseworkers are now reviewing 10,000 request to give Davion a new home. Unfortunately, the 15 year old’s biological family is not eligible for adoption but want to be apart of his life. Here’s what Davion’ aunt, Doris Ward, had to say:
“All we want is for Davion to know that he is loved. Even if no one from the family can look after him, we want to be able to see him and spend time with him. But as it stands, we have been told our visit back in August was a one-time thing and we have no idea when we might get another chance to make contact.”
Hopefully a perfect family is found for the young man. Everyone deserves to be loved.
