After a group of Boy Scout Leaders uploaded a video of them destroying a nearly 200 million year old artifact in Utah’s Goblin Valley State Park, the “youth leaders” may be facing possible felony charges!
The men set on their plan to restructure the state parks formation, began by pushing the huge boulder that was attached to another piece of stone. when that failed they took to plan b and started wiggling the stone, soon after the huge rock tumbled off. The men proudly boasted of their actions as they pretty much destroyed a part of history.
The men defended their actions by stating that they did this in order to protect others, especially children from the “dangerous” rock.
“I put my hand on a rock and it moved,” he told the paper. “While we were sitting right there we thought, ‘Man if this rock falls it’ll kill them.’ I didn’t have to push hard,” stated Glenn Taylor, the scout leader responsible for pushing the rock over!
The Boy Scouts of America organization let out a statement emphasizing how disappointed they were in the actions of the supposed leaders:
“These principles stress a commitment to maintaining the integrity and character of the outdoors and all living things. The isolated actions of these individuals are absolutely counter to our beliefs and what we teach. We are reviewing this matter and will take appropriate action”
