A dying father refused to break the promise that he made to his daughter regarding him gawking her down the aisle at her wedding, one determined father made it his mission to do so. 24 year old Sarah Nagy was filled with emotion as she walked hand and hand with her father down the aisle! Every daughter is emotional on their wedding but this bride had the right to add even more happiness on her special day as her father found a way to be brought in by emergency vehicles and medics aided his movement during the ceremony.
The 56 year old father, Scott Nagy is terminally ill, diagnosed with metastatic urethral cancer about a year ago and has been hospitalized within the University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center since August.
Nagy arrived to his daughters wedding an a transportable hospital gurney to which he also walked her down the aisle on. “Sarah Nagy and Angelo Salvatore originally planned to marry next year but moved the ceremony forward as Nagy’s health deteriorated,” reported NYDailyNews
I can only imagine how devastating it could be for their family, yet it is heart warming that the father-daughter bond was strengthened one last time and new memories were created till the very end.
