The timetable for Kobe Bryant’s return from an Achilles’ tear is unclear, but he’s already begun to increase his activity. “I’m starting to move a little bit more,” said Bryant earlier in the week. “I’m trying to pick up my pace a lot more.” In addition to healing, Bryant said he needs to get into shape. On Friday, he gave a status update via Twitter: “Dropped 5lbs in a day #getinshape #nutrition.” During his time off while recuperating from April surgery, Bryant said he did not keep his usual diet. “Six months of eating whatever the hell I wanted to eat and not running and stuff like that caught up to me a little bit,” he said on Wednesday. “I can do it in about three weeks of rigorous conditioning. I have the green light now to do that.”
