I am confused why the Heat even bothered taking a chance on Michael Beasley to begin with. I can only assume since they are a championship team and have leaders like Lebron and D-Wade, that they think that will help in keeping Beasley focused. Well we are off to a weird start already. After missing a shot in a pre season game against the Pistons, Beasley repeatedly punched himself in the head. The punches were so hard that the Heat training staff had to apply cold steel compressors to his eye brow area. For those who don’t know, those are the same things you see boxers use between rounds. He basically came pretty close to splitting his own face open just above his eye. All of this because he missed a shot in a pre-season game? I hate to think what he will do to himself if he ever misses a lay-up in a real game. Beasley has pretty much been a failure compared to what was expected of him since he entered the NBA. This will most likely be his last chance to sustain a positive career in the league. Trying to knock yourself out like Jadakiss said back in the day really does not help.
