The Tennessee Titans lost their quarterback Jake Locker due to a hip injury and are on the hunt for a replacement. They’re either really desperate or they saw something special because they inquired about JaMarcus Russell. Read more after the jump.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Titans reached out to Russell but he is currently recovering from a knee injury, but the quarterback was receptive to the opportunity.
According to Schefter, this appears to be an indication that Russell does intend to continue his comeback.
The 28-year-old Russell has not played in an NFL game since 2009.
Russell has reportedly been working extremely hard at a comeback after being considered one of the biggest busts in NFL history after being drafted by #1 overall by the Oakland Raiders in 2007. I’m not sure where this knee injury occurred but it’s pretty bad timing…
