His Airness has been the topic of discussion all week among basketball fans. Ever since his interview aired earlier this week where he said he could beat pretty much all the great players, current and from the past, it has caused quite a bit of conversation. Now a legend in the game is speaking on it as well. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who himself has been pretty vocal this week in regards to the Lakers and what happened with Dwight Howard, disagrees with Jordan. Who does he think would beat MJ? Hit the jump.

Kareem was speaking with ESPN radio when he dropped his opinion:
LeBron is awesome, MJ was awesome—but I think Oscar Robertson would have kicked them both in the behind Absolutely. Oscar was awesome. He had brains. He had all the skills. He could rebound and box out guys four and six inches taller than him. He was ruggedly built. He had fluid, quickness and just understood the game. No flair, he just got the job done every night. Who’s going to average double figures in points, assists and rebounds?
If you are a fan of the history of the game, you know Oscar (Big O) was no joke. You could easily make an argument that he is one of the top 5 ever. He was big, had all around game and could even play like a point guard. He was basically Magic Johnson and Lebron before they ever came along. Personally I do not know if Oscar could keep up with Jordan’s quickness, but Kareem saying that is not completely crazy. Oscar did average a triple double for the entire 1961-62 season, which is amazing itself.
