Is this what we pay taxes for? Deland police officer, James Harris, was recently fired for “accidently” killing a Florida man. 38 year old Marlon Brown tried to escape a seat belt violation by any means; ultimately trying to escape on foot. Brown slipped and fell in front of Harris’ patrol car and was run over. The Florida Police Department stated that the officer was NOT following the department policy involving pursuit and terminated him from the force. How “unintentional” was this accident?
