The man that revolutionized the video game industry by intro’ing the world to Super Mario has passed away at the tender age of 85.
This morning Hiroshi Yamauchi died in a hospital in Japan from pneumonia. Mr. Yamauchi left Nintendo in 2002 and at the time passed on his $9 to $14M pension, stating “Nintendo could put it to better use”. He was valued at $2.1B(Yes Billion), and was the 13th richest man in Japan.
Hiroshi Yamauchi is survived by a wife and 3 children.
