I admit, I saw this coming before the season started. There are reports that Tampa Bay Bucs QB Josh Freeman will ask the Bucs to trade him in the very near future. It is clear him and head coach Greg Schiano have a very strained relationship and it will not be getting better anytime soon. There are some teams who are interested. Hit the jump.

There has been no trust between Freeman and Schiano after the coach publicly said he would not be mad if rookie QB Mike Glennon won the job coming out of training camp. Then Freeman missed a team photo, and the coach once again publicly commented on it.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the relationship between Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman and Greg Schiano is “beyond repair” and Freeman is “likely” to request a trade out of Tampa Bay. La Canfora goes even further and cites several executives around the league who believe Schiano’s refusal to publicly endorse Freeman is an attempt to undermine GM Mark Dominik. According to La Canfora, “many around the league” believe Schiano would like to have full control of the team’s roster moving forward. La Canfora lists the Raiders, Titans and Vikings as teams who could have interest in Freeman.

I don’t know about you but I still think Freeman is a pretty good quarterback. Definitely better than the rookie on the roster. Freeman is a free agent after this season though, and it is clear the team will not be making him any contract extension offers.
