The man, the myth, the legend Common has announced that he has in fact been working on a new project that will include the California native Vince Staples, Hit the jump for more detail!
Common has been making appearances on shows to movies, basically everywhere else but the rap scene as of late, but he has revealed to HipHopDx that he in fact is working on a new project! The project will include the clever raps from one third of the California rap group Cutthroat Boyz, Vince Staples:
“I got my man Vince Staples on a song,” Common said in an exclusive interview with HipHopDX. “I like him. He’s cold on the mic. When I heard him rapping, I was like, ‘This dude can really rhyme.’ It made me want to write.”
He reveals that he is putting out an LP following the EP next year:
“I’ve only got a couple songs, but I’m gonna get the EP done quick and then I’m gonna release an LP at the top of next year,” Common said.
Common never gets old, so his new project is definitely something to look out for!
