Damn dogs! LMAO. I’m sorry, I had to laugh at this. As far a kids are concerned, there’s nothing funny about it – drugs are bad for you – don’t do drugs. BUT really?! C’mon fam! Nice try! Indians pitcher Chris Perez has been fined for mailing marijuana … to his dog.

Cleveland Indians closer Chris Perez was fined $250 and sentenced to a one year of probation after pleading no contest to misdemeanor charges stemming from his June arrest after a package containing nine ounces of marijuana was delivered to his house in his dog’s name.
Perez, who looks like an extra off the set of Sons of Anarchy, was also ordered to speak to local high-school students about the dangers of drugs. From the AP:
“You’re highly regarded; kids look up to you,” Judge Brian Hagan said. “But you made a big mistake. I hope that through your efforts you can deter someone else from making that same mistake.”…
Under the drug agreement between Major League Baseball and its players’ association, marijuana offenses generally result with the player undergoing a treatment program rather than discipline.
Perez is participating in the treatment program and is subject to regular drug tests, defense attorney Terry Gilbert told The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer.
So Perez, who did not actually admit guilt in the case, will now go warn high-school students about marijuana.
