Today, Nike officially unveils official info and imagery on the Nike LeBron 11. Designed to protect LeBron James and his combination of power and speed, the LeBron 11 is built from the inside out, and is both the lightest and the lowest LeBron shoe ever made. According to Nike, it weighs approximately 14.5 oz in a men’s size 9.
The LeBron 11 has new Nike Hyperposite technology to provide protection, containment and responsiveness. It locks down LeBron’s foot so he can glide and fly all over the court, plus has a combination of Lunarlon and Nike Zoom units for a soft, springy feel. The 11 is specifically “deconstructed to get James’s foot much lower to the ground so he can feel the court” per Nike.
As for the look? The number 11 represents “duality,” as the number itself looks identical upside down and right side up. The inner tongue of the shoe highlights “XI” and spells out the number six, too. The sock liner graphic says “LeBron” when you look from one direction and “James” from the other.
