Andrew Bynum sat out the entire 2012-13 season with the Philadelphia 76ers due to chronic knee issues.  At the end of the season he became a free agent and rather than re-signing with the Sixers he decided to sign a two-year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers.  Read more after the jump.

Who knows if it will work, but Andrew Bynum is making a major effort to rehab from his knee problems. He has been at the Cavs facility virtually every day since signing six weeks ago. Bynum is still working on his cranky knees. He had surgery on both in March. He is working on losing the 20-some pounds that he needs to dump. He is doing what the doctors and trainers have asked. But he’s not close to being ready for full basketball activities.

Bynum made big promises since signing with the Cavs including a playoff berth and that he will be an All-Star.  I don’t have firsthand knowledge of his knee injuries while with Philly but it appears he really didn’t want to be there because he made no effort to play but is going all in with the Cavs.  Only time will tell if the hard work will pay off.
