If you haven’t heard of Wendy Lam, chances are you either a boy or not much into fashion, but let me put you on. Wendy is a NYC based fashion blogger who runs Nitrolicious.com, which is a blog about not only her own personal fashion, but everything from H&M to Versace as well. And did I mention she’s super into the streetwear & kicks scene too. As one of my favorite bloggers, I’m always checking her site to see what is new and trendy and this time around I cam across an article about her and her shoes. She sat down with WWD Footwear News to give a peek into just ONE of her 2 shoe closet’s and dishes on her favorite shoe and why she loves her sneakers. Shoes that started it all: “I started collecting Jordans. I have some original Air Max ones from 1995. I’m a tomboy and I like to dress like a guy — comfy. That’s why sneakers appeal to me.”
All-time favorite shoe: “Nike SB Supreme Blazers from 2006. They’re reminiscent of the Chanel quilting and the Gucci stripe. These are so hard to get because they didn’t make a lot of small sizes.”
Favorite sneakers: “The Isabel Marant wedge sneakers. When I first started getting them, they weren’t that crazy popular, but after my second pair, I would get calls from my salesperson so I could reserve them in my size. They’re comfy, and the wedge makes me taller, which I love. And they’re so downtown.”
