You can’t always make everyone happy, but Warner Bros. did NOT expect this response when they announced that Ben Affleck would be the new batman. Click the jump to see what thousands of unhappy fans did!
Apparently, many Batman fans were upset when Ben Affleck was announced to be the new Batman in the Batman/Superman upcoming movie. What was their response? They created TWO different petitions to have Affleck removed, one on change.org and another on the White House website in the “We The People” section. The White House Petition ASKED OBAMA to “denounce the selection of Ben Affleck” and recast someone else!! They White House Petition was quickly taken down because it violated terms of the website but the change.org petition is alive and kicking here. It’s past it’s half way mark even!! The change.org petition is aimed towards Warner Bros. and it states, “His acting skill is not even close to being believable as Bruce Wayne and he won’t do the role justice. He’s not built, nor is he intimidating enough for the role of Batman. His portrayal of Daredevil was atrocious and he’s not remotely close to an action star. Please find someone else.” Zach Snyder, the director of this film responds with saying, “(Affleck) has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne…I can’t wait to work with him.” What do you think?!
