According to AllHipHop, Paul Bastiste, representing the Batiste Brothers band is filing an 118-page lawsuit against T-Pain, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross and Pitbull claiming that these artists and many others were illegally incorporating the Batiste Brothers’ music into their songs without any permission from the Bastiste Brothers themselves. Some songs that the lawsuit mentions are “All I Do Is Win” By DJ Khaled and “Booty Wuk” By T-Pain. The lawsuit says, “Defendants have blatantly poached beats, lyrics, melodies and chords from Plaintiff’s songs…Many of the Defendants songs have been released multiple times, in multiple versions and that each release constitutes an independent act of copyright infringement.” The Bastiste want more than $100,000,000 for damages for profits!! These artists better get themselves REALLY GOOD lawyers!
