A Canadian man was recently arrested for attempting to smuggle marijuana into the U.S. by scuba diving. U.S. Customers and Border Protection said that authorities were tipped off by a citizen who spotted the scuba diver in the water. Immediately after, cameras operated by Selfridge Air National Guard Base located 24-year-old Jesse Zunti swimming with a dry bag trailing behind him. More info after the jump.

According to NY Daily News, border patrol agents apprehended Zunti and found a large watertight canister tied to a seawall ladder, which contained more than 8 pounds of marijuana.

It’s also believed that Zunti swam about 3 and 1/2 miles before being spotted.
