Allen Iverson will announce his retirement in the “coming days,” according to Slam.
Iverson has not appeared in the NBA since the 2009-10 season, playing for the Memphis Grizzlies and Philadelphia 76ers. He also played in Turkey in 2011.
In 14 NBA seasons, Iverson appeared in 11 All-Star Games. He was the 1996-97 Rookie of the Year. He was the 2000-01 NBA MVP. Iverson led the Philadelphia 76ers to the NBA Finals in 2001 where the Lakers won the series, 4-1.
