LinkedIn is expanding its audience to a younger demographic by creating University Pages. Students in the US ages 14 and older will be able to sign up and create a profile. LinkedIn believes University pages will make it easier for students to make their decision about where to attend college.
Students will have the ability to join the school they’re considering on the site and ask current students as well as alumni questions. They can also explore the career paths of those who graduated from the university for an idea of what to expect. The University Pages will give students incite on better understanding the certain careers that are offered at particular universities. It would also help to keep alumni connected as well.
