Click the jump to see why Taylor Swift had to cancel her KISS FM Biggest Fan contest because of who won!
When a local Boston radio hosted a “Taylor Swift’s Biggest Fan” contest, they did not expect the winner to be a 39-year-old man. KISS FM had to terminated the contest because they found out the winner was chosen by some online pranksters who were making fun of the contest. How did they sabotage the contest? Thanks to the website 4chan. The “winner” of the contest was a 39-year-old man named Charles, and although he had self-promoted himself on various websites, 4chan was what secured his victory. If you look at the picture in the gallery, a blog post was posted on 4chan basically explaining how Charles wanted to crush Taylor Swift fan’s dreams by winning the Biggest Fan contest. In order to win the contest fans had to “vote for a contestant by visiting their unique link daily (every 24 hours)”. The grand prize was two free tickets to a Taylor Swift show and backstage passes in order to meet the singer in person. With the help of the 4chan blog post, Charles the “creepy old man” was shot to the top spot and was voted for by 500 different computers all around the world. Once KISS FM found out about this blog post, they terminated the contest. NO ONE expected that to happen!!
