James “Whitey” Bulger is a well known crime boss from Boston, Mass. At the age of 83, Bulger is on trial for 32-counts of racketeering, 19 killings, extortion, money laundering and weapons violations. Bulger fled Boston in 1994 on the eve of an indictment and became one of the U.S.’s most-wanted fugitives until he was caught in Santa Monica, Calif., in 2011. You had a long haul, but looks like things may not be looking up. After going into deliberation on Tuesday, they jury is back after being out for 45min. today. Hit the jump for more details.

Now that the jury has come back, so has a decision. “Whitey” was found guilty of racketeering as well as conspiracy. This coming soon after the jury asked to clarify if they thought someone else was guilty of the racketeering, it Bulgar guilty by association. The judge ruled against the guilt after defense attorney, J.W. Carney Jr., objected.
72 witnesses and 840 exhibits later, during the two-month trial, the alleged FBI informant is willing to give up his guns and $822,000 in cash that – found in his California apartment – but, wants to keep one thing – a Stanley Cup ring. We’ll see what the judge says next.
