In Toledo, Ohio, a man was badly beaten down because he didn’t pay up. He later died in a hospital Wednesday morning. And the dispute was over 75 cents??
At a homeless shelter, 53-year-old Joseph Meyers got into an altercation that cost him his life. A man beat him up over 75 cents, and a few days later he died. Police arrested the man the day of the beat down, and he remains in county jail on assault charges. He will be facing a grand jury soon on expected murder charges. A judge has set a $100,000 cash-only bond for the man.
Both men involved stayed at the Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission, where their goal is to minister to the spiritual and physical needs of the homeless and poor.
