Megan Welter was recently praised for her transition from the Iraqi War to becoming an NFL Cheerleader. But, now she’s in jail with no bail. The reason: domestic violence. The 29-year-old was arrested for assault, disorderly conduct and criminal damage after attacking her beau in her Scottsdale, Ariz. And It was was all caught on tape. It took no time for authorities to bring her in because the one behind the camera was her boyfriend, who pleads with her to “stop.” Check out her reasoning behind the beat down.
According to the unidentified victim, “The couple had been drinking to excess to celebrate Welter’s birthday July 20. They started arguing about 3:15 a.m. after the unidentified male received a flirtatious text from an ex-girlfriend.”
The assault happened at Welter’s house. When she wouldn’t let him leave, he called the police for help. While on the phone with the dispatcher, Welter stated, “My boyfriend just became abusive. We got into a physical fight,” while also describing him as a “professional fighter” who “smashed [her] head into tile. With that being said, the police rushed to the scene, but saw no proof of what she had told them. Her boyfriend, however, was able to prove his side of the story because his injuries matched what had happened on camera. Check it out below.
