Diddy is serious about his new music channel ‘Revolt.’ In the launch of his brand new music network, he aims to bring true talent to the screen and actually play music, introducing new and different types. ‘Revolt’ will be broadcast in over 25 million homes and aims to target the 18-34 age range. The type of music that will be playing isn’t just hip hop; “We’re looking for greatness, we’re looking for great stars, we’re looking for people who have something to say. Our bar is extremely high; it’s highly curated. There are other places artists will be able to get exposure, but when you make it to Revolt you will feel you’ve been authorized.” Diddy is trying to pull viewers away from the internet. Diddy says “My mission is to bring kids back to television.”

Of course, as with many of his other projects, Diddy is the “visionary” for the channel, but he got a bit of advice from Oprah who told him to keep it calm for a while. And the element that makes this channel different from all other music channels, is that there is a secondary site called Making The Brand that allows users to engage with the channel via social media and getting the behind the scenes to the whole network. Diddy always does it proper; will you be watching?
