Last night, Boston Red Sox player David Oritz didn’t like the strikes being called against him by the homeplate umpire. After swinging and missing at strike 3, Ortiz had something to say to the ump as he walked back to the dugout about the first 2 strikes called against him. He was seemingly calm, and then like a mental patient who could snap at any second he lost it in the dugout. He even almost hit teammate Dustin Pedroia with a piece of the bat that he smashed. He then had to be restrained a couple different times from going after the ump. I know in baseball, players always make it seem like they really want to fight the ump, but in reality you know it is a show and they want to be held back. But last night, the way Big Papi snapped, he might of really attacked the guy. Hit the jump.
